Question 1

Who is IndieFilm OS for?

Accepted Answer

IndieFilm OS serves independent filmmakers, production companies, commercial filmmakers, and online entertainment creators who want to keep production planning and project records organized.

Question 2

What can I organize in the production workspace?

Accepted Answer

The current workspace brings project planning and records together. You can work with screenplay breakdowns, budgets, schedules, crew, expenses, risks, and project records such as attachments. The available tools are for organizing production work; they do not promise a particular production outcome.

Question 3

What do I need to create or access a project?

Accepted Answer

You need an IndieFilm OS account, and Stripe must confirm an active subscription for that account. Project creation and access to project records are available only while that active subscription is confirmed.

Question 4

Do the rights and distribution-readiness tools verify my project or guarantee a sale?

Accepted Answer

The project workspace helps you keep rights-related records with your project, and the distribution guide outlines common materials to organize so you can track your own preparation. These tools do not determine legal compliance or replace qualified legal advice. An organized project or prepared package cannot guarantee distribution, distributor interest, or a sale.
